Washed Up – FREE to view
Washed Up, Rough Glory Films’ award winning short film about Desperate Men is FREE to watch during the coronavirus crisis! This bleakly comic study takes an unflinching look at the combustible tension that drives Desperate Men to keep making vital street theatre when some days they are barely on speaking terms. Seeing how we have lasted 25 years without killing one another may inspire people to keep going through quarantine. Click here to watch for free.
Desperate Dictionary
Have you checked out our video archive? It spans over 30 years and ranges from early, experimental shows to coverage of our latest productions, all collected into a Dictionary of Desperation. Pick a letter, any letter, and see where it takes you.
Generations
42 years in the making, our new outdoor show represents Desperate Men handing over to the next generation. However, we are not going out quietly! We invite the audience to bear witness to a ceremony of transformation, as we pass the baton and investigate intergenerational relationships, imagining how the young and the old might co-exist in the future. From desperation to regeneration, we welcome in the new. Click here for info & show dates.
Wye Valley River Festival 2022
WVRF 2022’s inspiration is Human⇋ Nature. After two years of pandemic distancing, we ask: How has our relationship with nature changed? Who are we as part of the natural world? What is our nature?
