NORWICH BURSTS BRISTOL’S BALLOONS

The sporting world has been rocked by the news that Norwich has poached the 2017 World Water Balloon Tossing Championship from its traditional host, Bristol. The elite athletic event has moved from its regular spot at Bristol Harbour Fest and will instead take place at the Norwich Lord Mayor’s Celebration on July 8. Furious Bristol residents have expressed their anger.
“What have they got over there that we haven’t?” said Alan T’ossah, a regular Bristol competitor. “Slightly lower annual rainfall due to their position on the East Coast, that’s all. And what good is that in a water balloon contest?”
Bristol Harbour Fest will still host some regional heats on July 22 & 23 – click here for details.
